The Royal George will retain its traditional character but with the highest contemporary facilities and services to make it a viable and indispensable part of Lyonshall life.

The pub will provide a close to hand local service, within a warm, welcoming environment, helping to create a vibrant community area. With a relaxed and informal space, supporting local team nights and pub quizzes, through to live bands and foodie fun. Traditional pub food, as well as new twists and flavours, takeaways and film food packages too.

Café & Soft Play

Every parent or grandparent knows that their happiness is tightly linked to the happiness of their children or grandchildren. The café and soft play will be a cool and relaxing environment for adults whilst the children happily entertain themselves in the bespoke soft play environment. Enjoy anything from a quick latte to a Hereford steak and chips out of the pub kitchen. For those who desire a bit of peace, there will be a quiet, south-facing room looking over the courtyard.

Herefordshire is host to the country’s largest and most celebrated rural film festival; Borderlines Film Festival, which runs for around 20 days each year across February and March. The Royal George project aims to support this burgeoning arts provision; providing a dedicated space for current film releases, film screenings and private hire. This will create revenue and jobs for the village and providing another social hub for residents of all ages.

Farm Shop

The farm shop will provide the community with everything from essential weekly items to premium ribeye Hereford steaks. We will deliver quality farm produce and groceries sourced from the rolling fields of Herefordshire.
