Our village
The Webbs Meadows developments have been built upon a base of family. The Hern family have been living and working on their farm in Lyonshall for generations, and want to create a great community to be a part of. The developments are set amongst the land in Lyonshall and in Almeley, two beautiful villages set in rural Herefordshire.
Part of our vision for the villages is to create places for the community to get together. A big project that we’ve been working on is The Royal George pub in Lyonshall.
For four hundred years, The Royal George was a landmark Inn and truly a focal point in the heart of Lyonshall. The Herns are making a substantial investment to see it refurbished and revitalised with an exciting new sense of purpose. As well as the staples of a viable pub (great food and drink), there will be a cinema and space to make this a great venue for parties, special occasions and weddings.
The Barns
Kinsey Hern’s first development in the village, The Barns, is a luxury renovation of several old barns that are now used as holiday lets as well as serving as a venue to locals and corporate events. The Barns is the perfect place to celebrate and enjoy large family get-togethers. Beautifully restored with traditional oak frames, The Barns could be considered a prototype for the houses soon to be built on the
Webbs Meadow site.
Uniquely decorated with a classic, cosy scheme, The Barns sleep up to 48, having 20 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms, with space for everyone to dine together. Along with generous living spaces and kitchens, TV and games rooms and access to beautiful walled gardens with hot tubs. Built in the same oak-frame style as the proposed houses, a stay at The Barns would be just the thing to give prospective new owners a taste of what life is like living in an oak-framed house.
The Local Area
Herefordshire is a wonderful county in the Wye Valley, sitting aside the border of England and Wales. It is a county of small market towns, the cathedral city of Hereford, and the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye. The picturesque village of Lyonshall makes the perfect base from which to explore all that is on your doorstep.
