The Black and White Village Trail

Lyonshall itself is a picturesque village at the heart of the black and white village trail, a unique journey through years gone by. Each village on the 40 mile circular trail has it’s own collection of these now rare but beautiful timbered dwellings.

Great places

Herefordshire is spoilt with a rich history and splendid buildings and parkland, such as the impressive National Trust attractions of Berrington Hall (the final design of Capability Brown) and Croft Castle.

Beautiful countryside

You won’t need to travel far to breathe in the fresh air and wonderful space Herefordshire offers in abundance. Perhaps a walk on Hergest Ridge at nearby Kington or maybe take in the views at Hay Bluff.

Be active

It’s a county which demands you step outside and enjoy all it has to offer. From walking and cycling to all your favourite sports. Or for a memorable change, why not enjoy canoeing on the River Wye.
